Brand Description
Versione rivista (aggiornata in ortografia, lingua e stile) della Bibbia bulgara, contenente solo i libri canonici, stampata per la prima volta nel 1871 a Istanbul (Costantinopoli), con l'aiuto della Società Biblica Britannica e Straniera (British and Foreign Bible Society) e grazie agli sforzi degli studiosi bulgari e dei missionari americani. Ha subito diverse revisioni, l'ultima delle quali di grande portata è stata nel 2000, e le ultime correzioni ortografiche sono del 2025.
La revisione stilistica del testo è stata realizzata dal noto poeta bulgaro P. K. Slaveykov. Questa Bibbia ha svolto un ruolo fondamentale nell'instaurazione della lingua bulgara letteraria. L'ultima edizione segue anche le tendenze e le regole più attuali della lingua bulgara letteraria.
