Revidierte (in Rechtschreibung, Sprache und Ausdruck aktualisierte) Version der bulgarischen Bibel – die nur die kanonischen Bücher enthält – erstmals 1871 in Istanbul (Konstantinopel) gedruckt, mit Unterstützung der British and Foreign Bible Society (Britisch und Ausländische Bibelgesellschaft) und dank der Bemühungen bulgarischer Gelehrter und amerikanischer Missionare. Sie hat mehrere Revisionen durchlaufen, die letzte umfassende stammt aus dem Jahr 2000, und die neuesten orthografischen Korrekturen wurden 2025 vorgenommen.
Die stilistische Bearbeitung des Textes wurde vom bekannten bulgarischen Dichter P. K. Slaveykov durchgeführt. Diese Bibel spielte eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Festlegung der bulgarischen Schriftsprache. Auch die neueste Ausgabe folgt den neuesten Trends und Regeln der bulgarischen Schriftsprache.
