"Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart" (2 Corinthians, ch. 4, v. 1*).
Due to my family's economic situation, I had to work for three years before continuing my education. I was excited about the opportunity to go to college.
After completing my law degree, I hoped to find my dream job and provide for my family. It turned out to be not that easy. I started working at a religious bookstore and have been there for several months now. Sometimes I feel sad when I remember the dreams and hopes I had in college. I still want a job that allows me to use what I learned there and would like to help support my family in my brother's education.
However, one day the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart: "Serving God is a gift and a very special opportunity." Then I learned to be grateful for every opportunity God provides me. This special chance to work at a religious bookstore was from God. I cannot speak for tomorrow, but I am thankful that today I can serve and work for the Lord.
