There are many factors that cause cynicism in modern Christians. Cynicism itself is a common symptom of many ailments. We must find the specific reason for someone's cynicism before treating the disease that lies behind it.

The Lord wants us to know how to become quiet, to recover from our work in a proper and quality way, so that His body, which we are, can be truly effective for others.

Can we earn forgiveness, salvation, acceptance, and love through good deeds? If not, should we do anything at all and why?

In short, love heals and cares even at its own expense, while lawlessness harms and enriches itself at the expense of others. It is precisely with the rise of lawlessness that love begins to lose strength and grow cold.

"Yes! Let us know the Lord, let us strive to know Him; He will surely appear like the dawn, and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth." (Book of the Prophet Hosea, ch. 6, v. 3**)

Your entire human existence is driven by this very call, and the outcome of all this will be to bring glory to the Lord before all His creation in the visible and invisible world.
