"My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19*).
When a severe drought hit us, the water pump in our home burst. My parents had no money for a new one. We continuously prayed for rain, but it never came.
We couldn't live without water. Thankfully, our neighbors, who had developed water pumps with sufficient reserves, offered their assistance. They allowed my family to take as much water as we needed. Thus, every day, my parents and I carried buckets to the neighbors to fetch water until the dry season passed.
This experience reminds me that the Lord does not always answer prayers in the way we want or expect. It did not rain immediately after we prayed. However, God provided for the need through kind-hearted neighbors, ensuring we had water every day.
