Several years ago, my wife and I were trying to have a second child. After three miscarriages over three years, we felt disappointed and confused. But even though our hearts were saddened, we found the strength to continue hoping in the boundless power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We prayed every morning and had quiet time to renew our strength. We were particularly encouraged by the story of the woman in Mark, chapter 5. This woman maintained her hope of healing even after twelve years. Her faith encouraged my wife and me to continue believing that the Lord would answer our prayers.
One day, a revival meeting was held at our church. There was a call from the pulpit to pray for those who had experienced miscarriage. A few months later, my wife became pregnant again. Despite having bleeding and needing to spend the pregnancy bedridden, our second child was born healthy. Like the woman who was healed after twelve years, we continued to hope in God and were blessed.
