"Thus says the Holy One, the True One, Who has the key of David. When He opens, no one will shut, and when He shuts, no one will open" (Rev., ch. 3, v. 7*).
While walking outside one morning, I was contemplating an apparently impossible situation my grandson was facing at school. Suddenly, a dead end sign and a concrete wall appeared in front of me. However, as I approached, I saw a metal door in the wall and heard the noise of heavy traffic on the other side. As soon as I opened the door, I found myself on the sidewalk of a main street. The street was closed to cars, but it was passable on foot. I realized that God can make a way even where there seems to be none. He inspired me with confidence that there is an answer to my grandson’s problem.
We often encounter situations that seem like "dead ends" to us. We may slow down or turn back, frightened of what might happen if we reach the end. But with the Lord, there are no "dead ends." When we have the courage to keep moving forward, He will show us a path to lead us out of the difficulty.
Prayer: Dear God, give us the courage to continue on the path until we see the door You have opened for us. Amen.
