God created the family, and children are a special gift from Him. The Bible tells us that offspring are a reward from God! For this reason, it matters to Him how we raise and educate our children. Additionally, Jesus Christ gives us children as examples of purity and innocence from which to learn.
We share with you some biblical verses that speak about children and how to treat them:
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov., ch. 22, v. 6*).
"Behold, children are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them!" (Ps. 127, v. 3-5*).
"But Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these'" (Matt., ch. 19, v. 14*).
"Children's children are a crown for the aged, and parents are the pride of their children" (Prov., ch. 17, v. 6*).
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth" (3 John, ch. 1, v. 4*).
"And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord" (Eph., ch. 6, v. 4*).
"Discipline your son, and he will give you peace; he will bring delight to your soul" (Prov., ch. 29, v. 17*).
"At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' Jesus called a little child to Him and placed the child among them and said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in My name welcomes Me'" (Matt., ch. 18, v. 1-5*).
Let us consider our children as a blessing from God and raise them in the one true path, so they too may be blessed. Let us also learn from their sincerity, authenticity, and innocence.
