"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom., ch. 5, v. 1*).
"For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isa., ch. 9, v. 5*).
Even before you were born, the Lord knew that in this moment you would read this message. He has planned to capture your attention for a few seconds to tell you: "I know every pain in your life and I've never stopped loving you. You are precious to Me. I love you more than you can imagine. I created you to love you, and I still wait for you to respond in kind."
If you gave me a Christmas gift and I never opened it, you would be disappointed. That gift would be useless because no one is benefiting from it.
Jesus Christ is the Christmas gift for us. Yet, some people celebrate Christmas after Christmas, never opening the best gift of all: God's gift of salvation. Why even celebrate the holiday if you don't intend to open the most important gift? It makes no sense to leave wrapped the gifts of a forgiven past, a meaningful life, and a heavenly dwelling.
God has provided a way to restore your relationship with Him this Christmas, and all you need to do is accept His gift. And that gift is Jesus Christ.
