The Truth About Salvation

The Truth About Salvation
The Truth About Salvation

"And after he brought them out, he said: 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' And they answered: 'Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household.'" (Acts, ch. 16, verses 30-31*)

Have you ever wondered if faith in Jesus Christ is truly the only way to be saved? This is an important question, and thank God, there is a clear answer.

The truth is, the Lord has given us free will so that we have the opportunity to choose whether to accept or reject the salvation that Christ offers. Although He wants everyone to be saved, the Lord will never force us to believe. The Scripture tells us: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. He who believes in Him will not be condemned, but he who does not believe is already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God" (John, ch. 3, verses 17-18).

Verse 16 clearly states that whoever believes in the Son will be saved. This means that you can be assured of your salvation when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. God, who wants you to spend eternity with Him, provides a compelling reason to make this most important decision: "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life" (John, ch. 3, verse 36).

The free gift of salvation is available to everyone—and it comes solely through Christ (See John, ch. 14, verse 6). Accept Him now, and you will never need to wonder what awaits you in eternity.
