Out of God's reach?

Out of God's reach?
Out of God's reach?

"...to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those sanctified by faith in Me" (Acts 26:9-18*).

Three years after being liberated from the Ravensburg concentration camp, Corrie Ten Boom stood face to face with her former Nazi overseer. She was in Munich, where she was giving a speech, and just as she finished, the man approached her. He said:

-       I have become a Christian. I know God has forgiven me... but I would like to hear it from you too.

With the power of Christ's love, she responded to his request.

The man had taken an active part in the Holocaust, one of the greatest atrocities in human history. And yet, he was not beyond God's reach. Called from "darkness into His wonderful light" (1 Peter 2:9*), this former enemy received the mercy that only the Almighty offers.

The Holy Spirit is always at work, leading men and women to saving faith. He uses the lives and testimonies of believers—like Corrie Ten Boom and her former overseer—to save others. "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12*). This promise is for you, as well as for the entire world.
