„Return, my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has been good to you“(Psalm 116:7*).
I was going through a difficult period, and my head was filled with heavy thoughts. Unfortunately, the stress affected my sleep, and the resulting fatigue significantly worsened my normal functioning in daily life. Eventually, I realized that I couldn't handle it alone and asked God for help.
Soon, I established a new routine. Whenever I woke up at night, I would spend ten minutes at my desk in prayer, writing down my concerns and placing them in God's hands. If they seemed insignificant, I would tell myself, “Calm your mind. Everything is okay.” If they were more significant, “Calm your mind. God is with you.” When I returned to bed, I would recite soothing verses from the Bible. I placed all my worries in God's hands and usually fell asleep with peace in my heart.
I intend to continue spending nighttime with God. „I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me“ (Psalm 16:7*). The Lord not only calms me but also gives me wisdom at night.
